Student athlete heart screening program |
Beaumont Hospital offers a student athlete heart screening program for students in grades 9-12. This program is to assist in diagnosing a genetic condition called exertion-related hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is a condition that when combined with physical exertion, may lead to serious arrhythmias or sudden cardiac death.
This is a free screening offered on an ongoing basis.
