Dr McManus grew up in Nashville, Chicago, and Lake Orion. She completed her undergraduate education at Michigan State University and earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She finished her intern year of residency at Mt. Clemens General Hospital and her pediatric residency through William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. Dr. McManus founded Pediatric HealthCare in 1998. Dr. McManus and her husband have 6 children. As a family, they like to play Four Square, pickleball, Telestrations, Wits and Wagers, Azul, and many other board games. Dr. McManus enjoys baking, reading, playing with her kids and her dogs. Her favorite books are Bread and Jam for Frances and Harvey’s Hideout. She loves to read out loud. She loves wind and rain.

 

Dr. Deprez received his B.S. from Wayne State University.  He moved to Indiana to complete his medical degree at Indiana University.  He completed his Pediatric Residency at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. Dr. Deprez has 2 children. He has been a member of the practice since 1999.

 

Dr. Hugen grew up in Lansing, MI. She earned her B.S. at the University of Michigan and her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.  She completed her residency in Pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. Dr. Hugen joined PHC in 2001. She chose pediatrics to be able to help guide children and families from their very beginning through their maturation into adulthood. She started with a particular interest in genetic conditions affecting childhood and as her practice has grown and aged she developed a special interest in helping tweens and teens through the insecurities of middle school and high school. Dr. Hugen and her husband share 2 smart and sarcastic children. As a family they enjoy summers up north waterskiing, tubing, boating, and swimming. In the winter, they enjoy downhill skiing. She loves music (especially when her daughter is performing), watching her son play many sports, reading, and eating and hanging out with friends and family.

 

Dr. Wegner (Dr. Becky) graduated with a B.S. from Hillsdale College. She went on to Wayne State University to finish her medical degree.  She completed her Pediatric Residency at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. Dr. Wegner has 3 children. She joined the practice in 2003.

 

Dr. Alibeji (Dr. A) was born in Iraq and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology with an Arabic minor from the University of Pittsburgh. She obtained her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. She joined PHC in 2021. She has a wonderful husband and daughter (who always keeps her on her toes). Dr. Alibeji has always wanted to be a pediatrician. She especially loves making lasting relationships with families: supporting parents during the challenging newborn period, guiding them through the various stages of childhood, and watching as those small babies grow, thrive, develop adorable personalities and build resilience as teenagers.

 

Carolyn is originally from Canton, OH. She received her BA from University of Richmond with a Psychology major and Business Administration minor.  She went on to University of Illinois at Chicago for her nursing degree and Masters of Science in nursing.  Her nursing experience includes working in the Neonatal ICU. Once she obtained her NP degree, worked in pediatric primary care, developmental pediatrics, and dermatology. She joined PHC in 2019. Carolyn and her husband have 3 children and a snuggly puppy. She always looks forward to summer trips to the lake up north and skiing in the winter or visiting family in California. Her hobbies include healthy cooking, singing in the church choir, listening to audio books, yoga, and spectating at her kids’ activities.

 

Amy grew up in Oxford, MI. She received her Bachelors of nursing degree from MSU and her Masters from Georgetown University. She is a part of the AANP, MICNP, ANA, and AAP. She joined PHC in 2022. Amy loves working with all of her pediatric patients but babies hold a special place in her heart. She also values helping to make a difference in patient’s mental health care. She and her husband, Peter, married in 2018 and share 2 wonderful children. They are joined by their 2 dogs. Amy loves spending time with her family (going to the park, playing outside, school or sports functions, etc). She enjoys baking, watching TV/movies, going to the movies, traveling up north, exercising, and walking the dogs.

 

Nirali grew up in Schaumburg, IL and moved to Michigan in 2017. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and her MSN from Wayne State University. She has experience as a nurse in the ER. She joined PHC in April of 2022. Nirali has a wonderful husband, crazy pup, and the sweetest (sometimes sassy) young son. She especially enjoys working with our pediatric patients regarding their nutrition and growth. In her hard-to-come-by free time, she enjoys cooking and being creative with home decor.
